I try to give credits, link back and reference sources in all of my posts.
Please do not remove them, as I don't own any of these pictures, even if I altered them. Thanks.

The before mentioned Bathurst Eye Bag by Anya Hindmarch has been presented in a fantastic ‘Pomp and Pleasure’ SS13 show. I already enjoyed Anya’s last show, ‘All I’ve Ever Wanted’ so much, I was simply blown away by this extraordinary way to present accessory.

Penguin book covers have again and again caught my eyes over many years and now I finally know, who is responsible for a large amount of them! Paul Buckley, executive creative director at penguin usa. Above: The Steinbeck Series, woodcuts by Andrew Davidson.

L’Odyssée de Cartier. A pretty impressive commercial movie about the history of the famous jewelry brand, to celebrate its 165th anniversary. It took 2 years to complete this 3,5 minutes ad…

Wow, Cartier even has designed its YouTube channel

As a child I loved the Narnia books. When I was about to get one for a little girl to introduce her to the same magic that I once experienced, I had to find out that the current German versions of the books look like shit.
What happend?? In a world with one gazillion superfluous graphic designers this is what you get?? Plus they left out any kind of illustrations?! Great work, that’s how to keep a classic alive, thanks.
On top beautiful designs from 1957-1960; middle left and right between 1977 and 1989; bottom left current issue (the one I had to buy - the cover features something that looks like an alien? words can’t describe it’s ugliness) and some other trashy designs between 2007 and now. All covers found here.

Sometimes I just walk into the Crabtree & Evelyn shop to feel better afterwards. For me it represents an island of old fashioned beauty & fragrances that sometimes saves an awful day. I take a deep breath and gaze at all these flowered packages that look like they have been like this for ages and it calms me down everytime. I was shocked when I entered today - obviously they decided to relounge the classic scents and the packaging! I can understand that these packages might attract younger and therefore more potent customers, but did they have to change the scents as well? I was told that they added a fruity note to each, which makes the scents in my opinion appear more ordinary. “Wisteria” is about to be discontinued completely. Well…
