Street style 1906: Edward Linley Sambourne’s fashion blog. That woman’s posture - her reading while walking - looks so contemporary, she could as well be staring at her smartphone…
About Edward Linley Sambourne, who was a cartoonist and illustrator. More of Sambourne’s pictures on The Library Time Machine.

Ripper Street’s episode#2 starts with the murder of a toy maker in 1889. The very first scene features one of Cabaret Mechanical Theatre’s miniatures! I’ve written about them before.

Prada Fall 2012 Menswear. Edwardian collars, exquisite robe-like coats, models that look like a mixture of Hercule Poirot/ Dr. Jekyll/ mad scientist or villain from a gothic novel. I like it! I also appreciate the fact, that there are loads of pins/brooches in that collection. (Photos from Style.com)

“The Illusionist”s story takes place in turn-of-the-20th-century Vienna. It has been shot in the Czech Republic though. I wonder if the spectacular coffeehouse is to be found in Prague…?
